Programmid
The “Bridge It!” programme is similar to DD Academy in terms of its content and objectives, and is run at an international level. Young people who are keen and interested in tackling a (social) problem in their local area are given encouragement, support and the knowledge they need to put their plans into action over the course of six months, through seminars and with the help of mentors. The programme is aimed at young people from the Baltic Sea region. It is jointly organised by organisations from Latvia (Orbīta), Estonia (Domus Dorpatensis) and Russia (Немецко-Русский обмен) and from Germany (Theodor Heuss Kolleg).
Coalition for Civic Education
We are working together to improve the quality of civic education programmes. In particular, we focus on an evidence-based approach and impact assessment. Our main methods for improving quality are the exchange of experiences between programmes and the involvement of external experts.
The Deutschbaltische Studienstiftung, a Baltic German cultural and educational organisation, brings together young people from the Baltic states, Germany and Russia at its seminars. The seminars address a variety of topical issues, whilst also touching upon matters relating to the Baltic German heritage. The seminars take place alternately in Estonia, Latvia and Germany. The Estonian partner in this programme is Domus Dorpatensis, which organises a multi-day seminar once a year with the help of volunteers who are interested in the German language and culture.
