We supported schools in providing a modern education (Erasmus+)

DD StratLab have helped to draw up collaborative and strategic development plans in various sectors, including education; for example, we have helped to draft the development plan for Tarvastu Upper Secondary School and the development plan for the education sector in Võru.

Whilst working on projects in the field of education, we have noticed that schools today need to find solutions and methods to meet the various requirements of modern education. Rather than developing strategic solutions solely within their own schools, it would be more beneficial for schools to collaborate, share best practices and, with the help of experts in the field, identify solutions that are already working. It is this problem that we set out to tackle with this project.

As part of the project, we also created a digital brochure summarising the approach to school development implemented in the project in the Estonian language and in English.

Project duration: 15 January 2023 – 14 December 2024.

What did we do as part of the project?

“The aim of the ‘Co-creation of new approaches and methods for schools’ project was to help the participating schools develop, through a co-creation process, approaches and methodologies relating to three themes:

1. Involving pupils in decision-making processes
2. Creating a supportive and motivating organisational culture within the school community
3. The integration of formal and non-formal education and learner-centred learning

Collaborative workshops

To develop the content of the topics in depth, collaborative workshops were held, involving experts from the education sector. In this way, we helped schools to develop an approach for each topic that they could implement in their own schools.

Pilot phases

With the support of DD StratLab’s consultants, the schools were able to test their own approaches and, where necessary, develop them further.

Digital brochure

We have produced resources that enable other schools to familiarise themselves with the methodologies and approaches we have developed, and to find out how to implement innovative approaches in their own schools.

Project partners

The project was carried out in collaboration with four partner schools from Estonia and Latvia:

Project funding

The project was funded under the Erasmus+ call for small-scale projects in general education. The grant amounted to €60,000.
